Arriving In Cyprus!

After 3 nights with no good wifi, today we finally arrived in Cyprus. We are here for 6 days and it's surprisingly warm. In Cyprus, there are cats everywhere. We saw these cats just on the first day!!! Our hotel/apartment is very nice too with a pool, good wifi, a full-on kitchen, and comfy beds. Since we are here for so long with no plans, here is what everyone wants to do:

 1. Piper wants to bake the whole time. 

2. Mom wants to explore Cyprus the whole time.

 3. Dad wants to do whatever Mom wants.

4. Kyla wants to.... well, I don't know.

5. I want to play at the pool and pet cats. 

But somehow I think Mom's going to get her way.

Me And Pipers Day Alone

 

Today me and piper had a day alone because dad, mom, and Kyla went to Petra again. After they left I did a blog post and piper worked on a math lesson. Once I was done with my blog post I took a small nap break while piper kept working. After I was done with my nap break I did 2 of my math lessons (because mine are short and pipers are long) and then me and piper lessons to some music before going to lunch. Now this lunch was weird because we went to a restaurant by ourselves (mom left us some money) I did all the talking and we both got cheese burgers. After we got back we asked Google random questions before mom, dad, and Kyla got back.

Our Time In Petra

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while but this is the first time in days that we've had wifi. So now I'll tell you about the torturous time we had in Petra (the ancient city that is carved out of stone.) Well, okay, maybe it wasn't torturous for anyone but me, but still I hated it. It started with us stopping at a local super market for some snacks to help us keep going in Petra. After that we walked over to the main gate of Petra to buy our tickets, then after saying no to the free horse ride that made you tip them anyways so it was not actually free we began to walk down the stairway to hell, or at least that's what it felt like. While walking we saw a lot of holes in the stone that were somehow religious. And after like an hour of walking and looking at holes in stone, we made it to the one part of Petra that was actually interesting to me (I mean besides the stray cats,) the Treasury. It was pretty cool, I liked the small details in it but sadly no one was allowed in😥. Then after literally 5 HOURS of walking around we finally decided to walk back which was awful because I could barely walk anymore and all I wanted was real food and not more salt and vinegar pretzels (they are not as bad as they sound.) But finally after a lot of walking (with one ice cream stop) we were able to sit down and eat an early dinner.

Arriving In Egypt

 Finally we made it to Egypt, it was hard but we did it. The main reason it was hard to get here is because we hade to wake up at 1:30 am to catch our flight, but all list all of them (not including that one) 1. Kyla vomited at the airport, 2. We had to go though security 5 times, 3. our flight was 1 hour late 4. the flight was 5 hours, 5. it was really cold when we got to Egypt. But when we finally got there we had to wait like 3ish hours to get to our room because we got there extremally early. And after all that time we got to our room and relaxed (if you couldn't tell the image's above are our room.)

Our Beach Break

 Now, I know I have bean posting randomly but now ill tell you about the place where we are staying right now and what we do here. On the first day we did nothing but swim in the pool, eat, and do homework. On the second day we planed to go to town but me and piper got into a fight and then we just walked out to a beach island. The third day we went snorkeling, me and piper got out first because nether of us have any body fat to keep us worm. The forth day we walked to town to eat pizza and gelato but on the way there dad stepped on an sea urchin. Finally the fifth day mom, dad, and Kyla went snorkeling again but we and piper stayed at the hotel and did homework. (P.S. I when swimming in the pool every day.) So that is what we did in this hotel, and after this is Egypt!!!!!!!

First Game Drive

 Today we went on a safari drive and saw a lot of animals but I forgot to take pictures of them😭😭. This is the only male lion we saw but we saw two lionesses😊. While we were driving around we stopped at a monkey reserve and saw....... ONE CHIMPANZEE. Like why were there only one?!?!?!?!?!? After that we drove around in circles for like 2 hours looking for an elephant that we did not find. And finally we went back to our hotel and we all took a nap.

The Elephant Reserve

 I'm telling you my blog posts are so random, because now I'm writing about the time we went to an elephant reserve that was before we went to the giraffe reserve. We were driving to our next hotel but our login time wasn't for a while so we stopped at an elephant reserve. After we walked down to a flat area with a fenced in place for elephants, we waited a while for the staff to bring in the elephants in. They began feeding them with milk, and after that they gave them some water to satisfy them. Then one of the staff brought out a microphone and began talking about why the elephants were there, what they did there, how they took care of them, and what caused the elephants to become orphans. After a long speech, we walked back up and "adopted an elephant" which basically mean that we pay them money to take care of the elephants.
